Concierge Patient Benefits

Direct communication with me or my assistant during business hours.

You will receive my dedicated concierge office phone number to reach me or my assistant quickly and conveniently. Unlike many other medical practices, when you call my office during office hours there will be no recording to navigate...only real people to take your call, with a real concern for your health and well-being. In the event that you need to leave a message during business hours, your phone call will be returned promptly.

My after-hours number will be provided to you for emergencies.

This allows easy and direct communication for urgent endocrine problems that occur outside of my regular office hours. I will use my reasonable best efforts to be available to coordinate your care. My goal is to reduce emergency room and urgent care clinic visits.

Convenient communication for non-urgent health issues or questions.

You will receive a response from me personally as soon as possible. Because email and text communications are not always secure, please use discretion when choosing topics to discuss with me via these platforms. Your patient portal is the best way to communicate securely and confidentially.

Little or no office waiting room time, and longer appointments.

Office visits will start promptly with little or no waiting in a wait or exam room. Appointments will generally be scheduled for approximately 30-60 minutes depending on the nature of the concern. These appointments are at least twice the length of time of a typical traditional endocrine practice. My goal is to afford you the time to thoroughly address all your questions and concerns, regardless of the reason for your visit.

With rare exceptions you will always be seen by me- and you won't be waiting months.

Unlike a traditional endocrine practice where you may need to schedule an appointment with the first available nurse practitioner or physician assistant, you will always be seen by me. During my absence from the office, a trusted colleague will be available for urgent issues.

With an intentionally smaller number of patients, I have greater flexibility in scheduling appointments. When you call to schedule, you'll be seen promptly.

As part of my concierge practice, my staff will be dedicated to patients’ needs, scheduling appointments and labs, taking care of prescription refills, medication authorizations and other requests promptly and efficiently.

As part of my commitment to your long-term endocrine health and wellness, my philosophy is to educate you about the importance of fitness, weight management, healthy living and your specific medical condition(s). This will support your effort to take an active role in managing and maintaining your good health.
