Anbar Ahmad, MD

Concierge Endocrinologist

Dr. Anbar Ahmad is a board certified endocrinologist and obesity medicine specialist, who has been practicing in Georgia for the last 10 years. 

 

Dr. Anbar Ahmad’s treatment philosophy is to empower her patients by educating them about their disease. She uses a team based approach with her patients to develop a treatment plan that best suits them and ensures best outcomes. She strives to care for every patient as an individual with their specific treatment goals. Her patients have continuously recognized her for her hands-on style and compassionate treatment of their disease. She has received several awards recognizing her excellence in medical teaching and outstanding patient care.

Carolyn Lawson, FNP-C

 

Carolyn Lawson is a certified family nurse practitioner who has been practicing Endocrinology since 2017. Carolyn’s skills in the field of endocrinology have been refined through her educational background, including a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is passionate about patient education and believes in empowering patients to understand their diagnosis and treatment plan thoroughly. Carolyn’s particular interest lies in the management of diabetes, with in-depth focus on insulin pump management and continuous glucose monitors.

One of Carolyn’s greatest strengths is her attention to detail. She believes that every patient is unique and requires a personalized approach to their care. She takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns and works collaboratively with them to formulate a treatment plan that meets their individual needs. Patients appreciate her empathetic and compassionate nature, and her dedication to providing the highest quality care.

Eileen Lau, PA-C

 

Eileen Lau has been practicing for over 13 years in the Atlanta area. She studied biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, after which she spent some time as a research coordinator at the Washington University School of Physical Therapy. She then attended Emory University School of Medicine’s Physician Assistant program where she graduated with a Masters of Medical Science with highest honors.

Eileen started her career in inpatient practice with the largest pulmonary and critical care group in Georgia, then transitioned into primary care which she has now practiced for the last 12 years, and concurrently gynecology for the past 2 years.
Eileen loves to educate—from coaching patients on how to live healthier lives, to mentoring students throughout her time as a clinician, to teaching first aid to girl scouts. She regularly volunteers with various nonprofits, at her kids’ school, and at her church. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her husband and 2 kids, playing tennis, and exercising her creativity in the craft room and kitchen.

Amy Labib, FMP-BC

 

Amy Labib is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Amy completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees at Emory University. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Amy is enthusiastic about diabetes and thyroid disorder management and collaborates with patients to create individualized plans of care.

She enjoys empowering patients to make lifestyle changes and providing them with helpful tools and strategies to do so. Amy is passionate about developing lifelong relationships with her patients and prides herself in her compassionate bedside manner.
