Many Thanks to North Georgia Endocrinology. I lost 25 pounds, my A1 C looks like non-diabetic. I fell better in my mind, and my diabetes symptoms such as fatigue belong to the past. These people will find the right prescription for you.

My experience with North Georgia Endocrinology has been excellent. The environment is well designed, pleasant, clean and relaxing. The front office staff is professional, very responsive , and efficient. The medical staff and doctor's are detail-oriented, attentive, and efficient but not rushed. I’ve been coming to this practice for several years and have felt heard and my needs have always been addressed whether by Dr Anbar to all the staff.
I saw NP Amy Labib for the first time and had a wonderful experience. She was very attentive to all my needs and questions about my new diabetes diagnosis. She is very knowledgeable about the disease and I feel that I’m in good hands going forward.

New Patient appointment - this is an impressive organization. Quickly and professionally handled at the front desk. Endocrinology and insulin pump appointment was thorough, thoughtful, helpful. Bloodwork was taken onsite, quick and well done.

The doctor went over all specific details of my past medical history all the medicines I’m taking and what the next protocol will be. I feel like she cares and she wants to see the patients succeed. The very few times I’ve been here, it felt as if I was wasting their time. Alexandra Daniels explained the textbook version of Hashimoto’s and hyperthyroidism, but no recommendations. It was very confusing when I was being told different things. I didn’t know whether I had hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism or if it was because of my pregnancy. Blood work was done only because I asked. I was always told to do a follow ups, but I was mainly asked questions and was barely checked during these follow ups. I was a self pay patient, and they made sure I paid upfront before going to the back. Fast forward to this year, I get a surprise bill in the mail. I’m more than certain I’ve paid everything forward, so I’m not sure why I’m receiving a bill.

This was my first visit to this facility and I am blessed to have found them. NP Morgan and her team were very thorough and answered all of my questions and concerns. She gave advice on better health. I did not feel rushed like normal doctor offices.

My visit with Amy Labib was wonderful. She is a very knowledgeable young lady that was eager to help me. I've been dealing with low blood sugar over a year now without receiving much help from doctors I've been in contact with. I'm so glad Amy is willing to do her best to give me the care I need.

Carolyn is amazing, but saw Morgan and she just brushed me off and seems irritated that I am even there. And the front desk staff has been horrible to work with for billing.
Sad news is Carolyn has moved and she is what was keeping me there and only reason I had to see Morgan. I wanted to give Morgan a try, but as noted above, I was treated like I was a bother to her and same with the nurse before her.
I don’t recommend with Carolyn moved on.

I cannot say enough good things about this endocrinology office! Since my diabetes diagnosis in August 2024, I have felt supported by my practitioner and the team. From the very beginning, they put thoughtful care plans in place to help me manage my diabetes and improve my overall health. What once felt like an overwhelming disease is now much less scary, thanks to their guidance, patience, and expertise.
The staff is kind, professional, and always willing to answer my questions. Every visit has been a positive experience, and I’ve never encountered any issues with the office. I truly appreciate the level of care and attention I’ve received here. The best and most caring practice. Dr. Ahmad and her staff are intelligent, motivated to find answers , and she takes time to listen with intention. She has a very calm dimeanor and it is hard to find Doctors that take her approach. You feel safe in her care.

All the staff was very friendly, from the receptionist, the person who received me to take my signs and the Doctor, I was looking for some reference in Spanish when I attended and I couldn't find it, I thought they couldn't translate for me so they accompanied me to translate for me, we asked if there was a translator for the following appointments that I would go alone and they told me yes. Although it would be a little longer, but it doesn't matter, I felt very good, thank you very much.

I do not recommend this place if you have PCOS… they will not find the root cause of your PCOS they will just continuously order multiple labs and leave you in the dark for your symptoms. I have felt so hopeless about my condition because of the PAs/NPs here. They use the excuse of PCOS not being researched enough or stress that our labs are normal when we don’t FEEL normal with fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, acne etc… If you have PCOS like me your only hope is to do research about it and educate yourself which is what helped me lose weight. This place is good for other issues like diabetes, adrenal or pituitary issues, and thyroid concerns but I really don’t recommend for PCOS. I tried my hardest to be patient with results and see if they have any treatments or solutions for me but I never left this place with some helpful information about the condition I have. I didn’t even want to leave this review but I want to let others who have polycystic ovarian syndrome to not waste your time here.

Amazing!! The previous reviews are not exaggerating. The staff is amazing and the doctor listens to you and takes the time with you. No matter where I live, I will drive/fly/row/swim to Dr Ahmad. They rock!!

Dr. Ahmad is absolutely the most caring physician I have had the pleasure of working with regards to my personal health. Her spacious and modern office has 2 waiting areas so patients are not in close proximity of each other. Dr. Ahmad is always prompt to start her consultation and gives the patient plenty of time to ask question and for her to respond to the questions or concerns. She is efficient, friendly and professional. She cares about the complete physical and mental care of her patients. I give her an A+ rating!

First of all had to fight to get the blood work I wanted done. I always have to keep calling back nobody calls and tells you anything. They said they would give me a referral and they said they would email it that day and they didn't. I had a call back and ask for the referral the next day. If you're going to say you're gonna do something, it needs to be done. . I'm a lift driver and I don't have a lot of time and I can't keep coming back to 100 appointments. I have to come back in about a month actually two months because I'm going on vacation and I'm not going to come back until later March. And whoever took the notes last time, kept telling everybody that I was on Mojarro, which I wasn't so whoever is taking the notes are not really doing a great job

Dr Labid is one of those doctors were born to deal with patients she welcomes you with a positive attitude that it rubs on you, she’s very understanding, and takes her time to walk her patients through their meds and health, I highly recommend her. Experience at North GA Endocrinology was good and I have been going to Dr Anbar for a while now. But nowadays I have to see her NP or RNA as this place have started a special concierge service and only if we subscribe to it we meet Dr Anbar. But as the very expensive annual concierge fee is not covered by my insurance I am forced to meet her NPs who I assume are directly conferring her on our continuation of our meds. This I feel is the only downside of this group.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ahmad for a little over a year now. I saw her NP, Carolyn Lawson when Dr. Ahmad was on maternity leave. These women are amazing!! It doesn’t get any better!! These ladies truly care about their patients. I use to go to another endocrinologist but the Doctor wasn’t as knowledgeable, open minded or cared to listen. I never felt like I was never getting the attention that I get here. I have been dealing with menopause, as well as my Hashimoto’s. Dr. Ahmad has helped me so much. Dr. Ahmad is open minded. She listens to her patients and she really cares. She has made time to call me. Notes are taken at each appt. and then posted onto the portal, so you don’t forget anything. My messages are always answered back immediately when I leave a message on the portal. Dr. Ahmad and Carolyn Lawson are brilliant. I would recommend them to my family & friends. I’m so lucky that I found Dr. Ahmad and Carolyn Lawson.

I am so beyond thankful to have found this practice!!!! Both Dr. Ahmad and NP Carolyn have been so welcoming and informative for me! They take their time make sure to explain everything going on and listen… I mean actually listen to what is going on with my body and symptoms!!! I live almost 2 hours away and will Gladly drive every time I need to just to see these amazing physicians (even though they have been gracious enough to let me do telehealth to help ❤️) I highly highly recommend you to go see these amazing ladies!!! I am on the road to get feeling better and have actual help to get me where I need to be!

Hey I have gone to the Publix pharmacy 3 times. They say they never received a prescription for the alternate (insulin) I apologize for not knowing the brand name. I paid a $10 administrative fee to your office to help expedite the prescription.

As an RN and a patient, I can say this is one of the best endocrinology practices I've used. All of the NPs are exceptional. I sent my adult Type I DM son to them and FINALLY, he is getting the care he needs! They know how to navigate the insurance company barriers and the care they offer is the most innovative. They moved offices and are a little far for us but we will drive the extra mileage for such great care.

Doctor Ahmad is an excellent doctor and I was her patient for several years. Recently she started to charge extra to be on her patient list.I guess a lot of doctors do that.This is like a membership and It’s expensive! I can’t afford that so I went to one of her assistant PA . It’s not the same! They are all kind but they are not Doctors. They didn’t go through the same curriculum or years and years of schools like doctors do. Office charges me and my insurance like I saw a doctor but I didn’t . I don’t think this is ok.

This place changed my life. I spent years without a diagnosis — struggling to lose weight, dealing with joint pain, brain fog, fatigue, etc. Though I knew something was wrong, most doctors refused to listen to me. Dr. Ahmad literally changed my life. When I first met her, she diagnosed my condition right away and prescribed the medicine I needed. I have since lost over 100 pounds, and I now know exactly what my hormonal issue was.
She is also a wonderful, kind, caring, and understanding doctor. As someone with metabolic issues, it’s easy to be hard on myself, but she reminds me that I’m doing the best I can, and that I have made wonderful progress. Short of it: please do not go to this practice if you have pcos

Long of it:
I went to this practice about 18 months ago. I was scheduled with Carolyn the PA. I went in with the symptoms of migraines, joint pain, increase in weight gain with no lifestyle changes, fatigue and a few other concerns. The office was beautiful and the front office staff and billing staff were very polite and easy to deal with. Upon discussing my concerns with Carolyn I became emotional (not realizing how worried about my health I had become, this was a surprise to me). She did not offer a tissue or a word of sympathy or encouragement but just sat in silence. Ok, that’s fine. Even the best Drs don’t always have good bed side manner so I dried my tears and moved on. The appointment was very brief and she was hyper focused on my sudden weight gain. I was not concerned bc she ordered a full battery of blood work so I felt confident we would find the root issue of all my symptoms. She did however assure me that she did not think of was pcos. When she walked me out I got my second red flag (the first was her lack of bedside manner), she promptly handed me two pamphlets about injection weight loss meds. I am totally for weight loss meds if that’s a patients choice, however we had no idea what the cause of any of my symptoms were AND I did not meet a single criteria for the weight loss meds as stated ON THE DRUG COMPANIES WEBSITE. Please understand how dangerous that can be. If a drug company is not saying I am a good candidate for a drug then why would a PA suggest it BEFORE labs we even back?? I was very confused but just left the pamphlets in the waiting room and moved on. Shortly after getting my labs back Carolyn messaged me on the patient portal saying I did have borderline PCOS results. I asked what the treatment plan would be for the going forward, expecting something…anything really, to aid all my symptoms. She told me to count calories and do intermittent fasting. Again the focus on my weight gain and ignoring all other symptoms. I had tried both in the previous year but decided that she was the professional so I would give it another try. I followed her advice to a T. I saw zero results in my symptoms including the one she was so focused on, my weight. I lost 2 pounds over 3 months, I was exhausted from not eating for most of the day (she recommended eating from 12-6pm) and irritable. All of my symptoms got worse. After having lunch with a friend in May of 23 she mentioned a mutual friend had started taking Ovasitol for her pcos and was feeling better. I decided to give it a shot since it was SO much cheaper than a follow up appointment (which honestly I was discouraged to make anyway given that most of my symptoms were ignored). Within 3 months I saw huge improvements in my fatigue, joint pain, swelling, AND my anxiety which I hadn’t even realized had increased and almost completely went away. I decided to start doing my own pcos research. I have read scholarly, peer reviewed articles and listened to talks given by other endocrinologist and I can say with complete confidence that this office dropped the ball with me. I have learned that pcos causes weight gain through insulin resistance (which was not explained to me and is still not even mentioned on the office website under their pcos blurb) and that it absolutely can be treated if approached as such. I added in fiber before meals, broke my cardio up into 10-15 minutes after each meal instead of 30-45 mins a day in one session. Meals, exercise, stressors, have all remained the same over the last year. I started in May of 24 and I am myself again. And guess what, I lost 16lbs. Please if you have PCOS find a better provider and believe yourself over anyone.

North GA Endo is a fantastic endocrinology clinic. The office is extremely clean, and the staff are very kind and polite. The PA's are just as knowledgeable as Dr Ahmad and train under her, so you can be assured you're getting top notch advice and care. They also know of and use other pharmaceuticals / products that I haven't seen at other doctors offices. For example, I learned of an FDA approved Testosterone injectable that is better than what I was taking before. They're super thorough and do not rush my appointments.

I do not think I would be holding my little baby girl if it weren’t for Dr Ahmad and her team, including Amy. After the nightmare of recurrent miscarriage I discovered I had subclinical hypothyroidism. My primary dr was dismissive about this, but Dr. Ahmad saw the clinical significance. With my TSH controlled to the “ideal range” I got a positive test 7 months after my last MC and had a healthy pregnancy. I wasn’t the easiest patient to deal with and appreciate their patience along the way. There is alot of information on the web about how to best treat this, and along the way I got a 2nd opinion from a functional medicine dr who recommended a completely different plan of care. After careful consideration I continued working with this office and I am so glad I did. I will eternally be grateful to Dr Ahmad for helping me bring my little girl earthside. If you are looking for an office that will closely follow you during pregnancy I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Always an excellent experience. All staff are kind and make you feel very welcome. Dr Ahmad has a rare approach that is equally understanding, validating, and professional. She wants you to understand what’s going on with your health and provides helpful feedback and education at each appointment. I never feel rushed or dismissed as I have with other doctors. I drive an hour to this practice and it’s worth the time. Definitely recommend!

I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’ve been to endocrinologists all over the Lawrenceville and surrounding cities and none of them compare to this office. This is the only office that consistently make changes in what I need to get my A1C down. When I first went there I was at a 14 and got as low as a 9 so far. I live about an hour away but I gladly travel that way because I know I end up in the hands of Doctors who care about my life. Extra bonus, the staff is SUPER awesome as well. From front door to the back door!

Dr. Ahmad has changed my life. I went to see her a little over a year ago. I had always felt sick and yucky, had put on 37 pounds, but could never pinpoint exactly how I felt. Dr. Ahmad did a lot of tests, always pays particular attention to everything you say, and comes up with a solution immediately. Fast forward to the present, and I have lost all 37 lbs, am no longer pre-diabetic and haven't felt this good in forever. I am forever grateful to Dr. Anbar for giving me my life back.

My wife has been seeing Dr. Ahmad and our experience has been wonderful. She diagnosed my wife with a unique version of an endocrine disease that was missed by our primary care physician. Dr. Ahmad was thorough in her examination and workup of my wife's symptoms. After further diagnosing my wife's condition, she explained the condition and the short, intermediate, and long term prognosis of the condition and how it would affect our life going forward. She was gentle and compassionate in her delivery of medical information. Since the diagnosis, she has monitored my wife very closely with appropriate follow ups (in person visits and virtual visits when her schedule is full). If you are willing to participate in your own healthcare and are looking for a highly trained healthcare provider to treat your endocrine disease, Dr. Ahmad is the doctor you need to see. We drive 1 hour to see her due to the level of care she provides and we highly recommend her and her team.

I have been seeing Dr. Ahmad for several years after going through a couple other Endo’s that were not up to par, if you know what I mean. Dr. Ahmad is not only a great doctor but she truly cares! She’s compassionate, super kind and listens to her patients. I have referred her to several friends/family members because I absolutely believe in her that much. She is one of those doctors that you’d drive hours to see if you needed to. The PA is super awesome too. You really can’t go wrong with this practice!

I've been seing Dr. Ahmad for the past 3 and a half years on a very regular basis. My condition has hugely improved with her attention and expertise. After having thyroid removal surgery, I needed to follow up with an endocrinologist to monitor my hormone levels and to get the proper thyroid hormone supplements prescribed. I could not get a timely appointment with the MD in the office, but was given a quick appointment with Carolyn Lawson, a nurse practitioner. Ms Lawson was extremely knowledgeable about my condition and was very professional, and could easily pass as an MD if someone didn't know she was a nurse practitioner. Highly recommended.

Dr. Ahmad is the best doctor I have ever worked with. She has truly listened to me. She has not talked at me but talked to me to work with my concerns and help me make improvements to my health that have had a positive impact on my entire life.
